I work at the intersection of Gender, Health, Migration, and Critical Caste Studies, predominantly in the South Asian context.
My current research examines healthcare delivery and caste identity in India, and how environmental migration affects women asymmetrically in South Asia.
Examining how caste identity shapes both the provision and experience of healthcare services in India. This work investigates the ways structural inequalities inscribed by caste produce differential health outcomes and access to medical institutions.
Investigating how environmental displacement and climate-driven migration affect women disproportionately across South Asia. This research draws on feminist political ecology to understand the gendered dimensions of ecological crisis and forced mobility.
Engaging with Dalit epistemology, Ambedkarite thought, and critical caste theory to analyse how caste organises social life, labour, and the body in contemporary India and the South Asian diaspora.
Drawing on the work of Vandana Shiva and related traditions, examining the entanglement of ecology, knowledge production, and political economy in South Asia — including questions of seed sovereignty, agrarian change, and environmental justice.
